Application Integration with Middleware
Middleware addresses the needs of the networked enterprise to create, integrate, and manage large-scale, distributed applications in heterogeneous environments. Middleware is used as the glue to connect disparate applications such as Web based applications and Mainframe based legacy applications. It is also used to develop and manage new applications that are robust, scalable and highly available.
There are several different flavors of Middleware. The scope of the problem to be solved will determine which type of Middleware should be used:
MOM |
Message Oriented Middleware |
TP Monitor |
Transaction Processing Monitor (a MOM with transactional capabilities) |
ORB |
OMG CORBA compliant Object Request Broker |
EJB |
Enterprise JAVA Beans |
BEA Tuxedo® is the premiere TP Monitor for Distributed Computing today. It provides the scalability, manageability, platform independence, interoperability, integrity, reliability, and security for complex, large-scale, distributed computing in the heterogeneous environments present in most major organizations.
Aurora Information Systems, Inc. has been providing customers with expert Middleware Consulting Services since 1996, and is a proud partner of BEA Systems, Inc.
